John Lang, Esq.

Of Counsel

Attorney Lang is a graduate of College of the Holy Cross and Boston University School of Law. He has been defending insurers and self-insureds in Massachusetts for over 35 years. His civil litigation experience encompasses a wide variety of areas, including product liability, construction litigation, professional liability, municipal law, commercial litigation and subrogation. He has represented most of the major commercial insurers in the course of his career.

Mr. Lang has tried numerous cases in both state and federal courts throughout Massachusetts and has argued cases before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and the Supreme Judicial Court.

Kathleen Greeley, Esq.

Attorney Greeley joined CFP Law Group in 2018.  She is a graduate of Boston College and New England School of Law.

Attorney Greeley has over 20 years of experience and specializes in the defense of Workers’ Compensation matters in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.  Attorney Greeley spent 11 years with the AIG Staff Counsel Office in Boston.  While at AIG, she was promoted to Supervising Attorney at Long & Leahy and Assistant Managing Attorney at Franco & Greeley.  In those roles, she assisted the Managing Attorney with the day-to-day operation of the firm and was responsible for the quality control of Workers’ Compensation cases.

Prior to and subsequent to her tenure with AIG Staff Counsel, Attorney Greeley was an associate at defense firms representing insurers, self-insurers, third-party administrators, employers, and employees in all phases of litigation at the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents.  Attorney Greeley has also represented insurers at the New Hampshire Department of Labor.

Attorney Greeley has provided numerous seminars and training sessions to her clients.  She is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association, where she is a member of the Workers’ Compensation Section Council.  She is a contributing author for the LexisNexis Practice Guide for Massachusetts Workers’ Compensation, 2014 Edition.

Elizabeth Barr, Esq.

Attorney Barr  joined the firm in September, 2021.  She received her undergraduate degree from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from New England School of Law in May, 2020.

During her time at New England, Elizabeth served as an intern at the Committee for Public Counsel Services, Mental Health Litigation Division, as well as at Greater Boston Legal Services in the Elder, Health, and Disability Unit. She was also a law clerk at a small medical malpractice law firm.

While at New England, Elizabeth served as an Executive Comment and Note Editor for the New England Law Review. She was also published in the New England Law Review, Volume LIII, Fall 2018. She was also a Dean’s List student.

Upon admission to the Bar, Attorney Barr joined CFP Law Group as an Associate Attorney. She specializes in Second Injury Fund reimbursement as well as the defense of Workers’ Compensation claims on behalf of insurers, self-insurers, third-party administrators, employers, and municipalities.

Lesa Stramondo, Esq.

Attorney Lesa Stramondo joined Calnan, Freeley & Pellegrini in January of 2022. She is a graduate of Newton Country Day School, Skidmore College (B.A. English/Psychology) and Suffolk University Law School (J.D.).

Attorney Stramondo joins us from Curtin, Murphy & O’Reilly, PC where she utilized her considerable experience in the law to zealously defend insurers, self-insurers and employers in Workers’ Compensation claims. Ms. Stramondo previously focused her practice on mediation and civil litigation. She began her legal career as staff counsel at Travelers’ Insurance Company and spent several years in private practice trying numerous cases in the Courts of the Commonwealth.  Ms. Stramondo is committed to obtaining the best outcomes for her clients.

Ms. Stramondo is A.V. rated by Martindale Hubbell. She has presented at the MCLE Annual Workers Compensation Law Conference in 2020 and 2021. She is a Life Member of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation and a Member of the Massachusetts Bar Association where she is on the Workers Compensation Section Council.

Lisa Pappey, Esq.

Attorney Pappey joined CFP Law Group in April of 2023 as an Associate Attorney.  She graduated from Saint Michael’s College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Suffolk University Law School with a Juris Doctor.  She specializes in the defense of workers’ compensation claims on behalf of insurers, self-insurers, and employers.

During law school, Attorney Pappey worked as a law clerk for Linehan, Gallagher and Mahoney, in house counsel for Travelers Insurance Company. As a law clerk, she represented Travelers at conciliations before the Department of Industrial Accidents. Attorney Pappey also assisted a senior trial attorney in civil litigation cases in the areas of tort law and product liability.

Following graduation from law school, Attorney Pappey began her career at Riley, Burke & Donahue practicing civil litigation and workers’ compensation representing injured employees in workers’ compensation claims and plaintiffs in the district and superior courts of the Commonwealth.

Attorney Pappey later joined the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Workers’ Compensation Unit representing state agencies in all phases of litigation before the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents. While working for the Commonwealth, she also advised the Human Resources Division on employment and labor issues. Attorney Pappey is committed to being a strong advocate for her clients.
